In our 10 years of operation, RMI has worked in concert with hundreds of trades, suppliers and professional service providers. Over the years we have experienced a sliding scale of service levels, not all of which would I volunteer to repeat. Historically I would not have considered the potential for disappointment in referring let alone recommending a product or a service to a valued colleague.
I was introduced to Colette Murray and The Original Basket Boutique in the fall of 2009. Colette being a Franchise Owner I was engaged by her subject matter expertise and her desire to make gift giving an exceptional experience. During 2009 my Mother had to be moved into a full time assisted living facility and this would be her first Christmas away from home. To complicate matters, she is in Ontario and I am in Alberta. I ran an idea past Colette that she quickly embraced . although she had never tried. Could we customize a Christmas basket for my Mom with all her favorite things . and get it delivered during the busiest season of the year, three provinces away. "Leave it to me" Colette said.
On Christmas Eve I received a very excited call from my Mother to say that she had received her basket . but how did I get all her favorite things in it and to her on Christmas Eve of all days? Colette was so committed to getting this right that she wouldn't invoice me until she knew that what we had agreed to had actually been done. That experience of exceptional service was only exceeded when I asked for a custom basket to be delivered to my wife. In order to ensure the timing of the delivery was correct, Patrick delivered it in person . door to door. The Original Basket Boutique's product and packaging is as beautiful as their brochure and website suggest, but it is Colette and Patrick's demonstrated commitment to service that will bring me back and prompt referrals.
